Its name is probably derived from the Persian word faridat, which means gemstone.

Peridot was known since ancient times. The Egyptians extracted peridot from the island of Zebirget in the Red Sea. These mines existed until 1920.

It was also known in ancient Greece, but they called it Topazio. The Romans knew and used peridot, which they called “emerald of the night”.

Peridot is the precious quality of Olivine (sometimes called Chrysolite), a mineral that is quite common. But it is quite rare in olivine deposits.

It is one of the few gemstones that appear consistently in a single colour, which is more intense the more iron is present as an impurity in its mass.

The largest amount of peridot is extracted from mines in Arizona, USA, but it is of relatively low quality. In Pakistan, in a rugged area on the border with Afghanistan, there are peridot mines of excellent quality. This is where the peridot that is traded worldwide for fine jewellery comes from.

A large piece of peridot decorates the reliquary of the Three Kings, located in the Cathedral of Colonia.

In modern times, peridot is in constant demand in the jewellery industry for its unique colour and other characteristics that make it a popular gemstone.

2) Agate belongs to the tectosilicate minerals. It is considered a mineral in the varieties of chalcedony (microcrystalline form of quartz) and occurs in various colours, the main one being white. In all its colours, however, it is translucent.

According to Theophrastus, the Greeks named this mineral after the river Agate (now Drilio) in Sicily where they found it.

Agate was highly valued as an amulet in antiquity. Also, agate goblets were very popular in the Byzantine Empire and during the Renaissance by the aristocrats of the time.

3) Corneol (or Carnelian) is a reddish-brown mineral commonly used as a semi-precious stone. It is a variety of chalcedony stone of a silica-containing mineral, coloured with iron oxide.

The colour of Cornelius varies widely from light orange to intense, almost black.

Cornelian was preserved in the Minoan layers of the Bronze Age in Knossos, Crete, in a form that proves that it was used in decorative arts (1800 BC).

Corneol was widely used during Roman times in the creation of gemstone vessels for sealing rings used to imprint a seal in wax on correspondence.

The term Carnelian is a 16th century corruption of the 14th century word Karnelian.

The word corneolus comes from the medieval Latin “corneolus” which came from the Latin word “cornum” which is the tree of the horseradish tree, a kind of wild cherry tree, whose almost transparent red fruits resemble this stone.

Cornelian is considered a stone of self-respect and self-confidence.

*All our jewelry is accompanied by a certification of quality and authenticity of metal and precious or semi-precious stones.
*The preparation of your orders is done following all health rules.

*All our jewelry is Nickel free.

Earrings in sterling silver plated with Peridot, Agate and Carnelian mineral stones.

Unique handmade silver jewelry.

4,80 gr.

[92

post-33214","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-earrings","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
["GET
