-The Moonstone is a translucent gemstone, a star-shaped orthoclase, which has a pearly glow.
-The characteristic glow of the Moonstone is known as shiller or adularescence and is caused by the growth inside it of two different types of astrium with different refractive indices.
-Comes in a variety of colours, ranging from colourless, to grey, brown, yellow, green or pink.
-The Moonstone has been used in jewellery for millennia, including ancient civilizations.In more recent history, the Moonstone became popular during the Art Nouveau period.
