COOKIE POLICY

Cookies & Policy Tracker (Stealth Consent v4.2.0)

1. How cookie management works

At metallaxis.gr cookies and third party “trackers” are not automatically activated. Before you give a choice,
we keep our statistics and advertising tools in an inactive state.

Simply put: everything that is not necessary for the e-shop to work, stays off until you say “yes”.
DEFAULT: OFF

2. Categories of cookies

What we use and why
Necessary – necessary for functions such as cart, checkout, login security.
Statistics (Analytics) – help us understand how the site is used (without “breaking” the e-shop if you refuse them).
Marketing – e.g. advertising campaigns/measurements, retargeting.

Note: if “tag manager” type tools are used, they are usually configured to be activated only after the corresponding consent has been given,
to avoid accidentally loading third party tags.

3. Google Consent Mode v2 (when using Google)

When Google services are present, the site “states” from the beginning that consent for statistics/advertising is negative,
until you choose otherwise. This avoids unwanted loads before you make your choice.

The update of your selection is immediately applied once you click Accept / Reject / Manage.

4. Where your selection is stored

Your choice is saved in the browser so that you are not asked on every page. Depending on the environment, it is used interchangeably:

LocalStorage
main option
SessionStorage
alternatively
secure cookie
fallback
In-Memory
last resort

Technical keys such as stealth_consent_choice, stealth_consent_time, stealth_consent_uuid are used to “remember” your choice.

5. Withdrawal of consent (purification)

If you change your mind and reject (or reduce) consent, an attempt is made to clean tracking-related cookies/storage.

We do not touch cookies that are necessary for e-shop operations (e.g. cart, checkout, login).

6. Do Not Track & embeds (e.g. YouTube)

If your browser has Do Not Track active and there is no option already saved, it can be treated as an indication of a preference for privacy
(i.e. to discard non-essentials). Also, embeds (such as videos) can be displayed with “click-to-load”, so they only load if you choose to.

DNT: 1 → indication: preference for privacy

You can change options at any time from the Manage button on the banner.
